When the whole group was divided and the pre/early-, mid- and late pubertal phases were separately analyzed (see #4 in the section “statistics”), only a slight, significant effect of sex and no effect of training status were observed in the pre/early pubertal group for absolute and normalized Hbmass, while both effects were highly significant in the later stages.
