A study in 17 patients critically ill with COVID-19 in Wuhan JinYinTan Hospital demonstrated that LA treatment improved the 30 day survival rate of those patients and slowed down the increase in the Sequential Organ Failure Assessment (SOFA) score, however, both parameters did not reach statistical significance due to the limited number of patients.
