Examining the RG and FG separately, the RG showed a significant 3.0-fold CK increase until week 3 ( p = 0.010), whereas the FG demonstrated only borderline significant changes by the factor 1.5 during the first week ( p = 0.05), peaking at 72 h after WB-EMS ( p = 0.048; r = 0.64).
The RG and FG demonstrated significant differences in gender proportion, number of diseases, percent body fat as well as maximum leg strength (MIES, MIFS), while skeletal muscle mass, body fat mass, 30-STS, 5-STS were borderline non-significant ( Table 2 ). 3.1 Feasibility The YG and RG demonstrated higher recruitment (66.7 and 64.6%), adherence (92.0 and 97.3%), and retention rates (90.0 and 90.9%) and lower dropout rates (10.0 and 9.1%) than the FG in the assisted living facility, in which the recruitment rate (46.2%) was lower.
