When compared to adults with ID, the prevalence of anxiety disorders in those with ASD was found to be significantly higher (17.1% vs 2.8%, χ 2 = 4.2, df = 1, P < .05), and this difference in prevalence almost reached statistical significance when compared to the ASD/ID group (17.1% vs 6.5%, P = .1).
