Multivariable analysis confirmed the independent contribution of JAK2 V617F VAF >35% ( p < 0.01; HR 4.0; 95% CI 1.9–8.2) and presence of CALR type 1/1‐like and MPL mutations ( p = 0.003; HR 2.2; 95% CI 1.3–3.8) in predicting MF progression; these risk factors remained significant when analysis was adjusted for age, sex, or palpable splenomegaly; among the latter, only splenomegaly displayed additional borderline significance ( p = 0.07).
