Planned contrasts indicated that participants correctly answered fewer questions about paintings in the 5-Photo condition compared with the Observe condition, t (59) = 2.69, p = .009, d = 0.35, CI 95% of d = [0.09, 0.61], while the comparisons between Observe and 1-Photo t (59) = 1.20, p = .235, d = 0.16, CI 95% of d = [−0.10, 0.41], and 1-Photo and 5-Photo t (59) = 1.43, p = .157, d = 0.18, CI 95% of d = [−0.07, 0.44], failed to reach statistical significance.
