Thus, the index of protection of 35% on day 1 and 33% on day 2 following a marathon 8 are statistically significant and of clinical relevance, whereas the larger values for the index of protection for CRP that did not reach statistical significance indicate exercise insults that did not result in large CRP values. 7 CONCLUSIONS 7.1 Type of cherry juice or cherry product Studies using cherry juice from concentrate or juice from fresh‐frozen cherries have consistently provided enhancement of recovery (at least one positive effect noted in 9 of 11 studies).
