It should be noted that, besides a tendency of most subsets to decrease or to remain stable (in terms of percentage and absolute count), CD4+ T-cell count increased; this is probably because naïve CD38− and T CM CD38−PD1− cells, detected as the two larger subsets (64.9% of cells in total), showed a trend towards an increase, although not statistically significant.
