Previous meta-analyses by Cheng et al [ 29 ] and Avalos et al [ 30 ] showed a trend to the equivalent efficacy for bowel preparation in terms of bowel cleanliness and adenoma detection rate when compared to same-day (one or two doses) with split-dose bowel preparation regimens regardless of purgative type.
