Although measured intensity discrimination thresholds tended to be lower (and acuity higher) for sequentially-presented stimuli than for simultaneously-presented stimuli (sequential: 51.28 Hz ± 21.77; simultaneous: 59.48 Hz ± 28.85), this difference did not quite reach statistical significance after RT-INT transformation (F 1, 224 = 2.92, p = 0.089).
