The result of photosynthesis is the synthesis of soluble sugars and starch, and the relatively higher photosynthetic rates in wild species showed a trend in the greater accumulation of soluble sugars (not significant) and starch (significant abundance in O. nivara , O. meridionalis , and O. latifolia ) ( Figure 5 ).
