A significantly higher odds of having a rare compared to papillary type of thyroid cancer was seen in service (aOR = 4.12; 95%CI: 1.25, 13.65), white-collar (3.51; 1.08, 11.36), and blue-collar (4.59; 1.40, 15.07) occupational groups relative to firefighters, except for other occupation, in which the odd approached significance (aOR = 3.23; 95%CI: 0.99, 10.61).
