The chemokine CCL7 that binds two of the main receptors involved in monocyte recruitment, CCR2 and CCR5, showed a trend similar to that of CCL5 for M0, M2a, and M2c phenotypes, while M1 macrophages in general expressed lower levels of CCL7 compared to M0 macrophages.
