Positive viral isolates showed a trend similar to the one with viral RNA quantification and no infectious virus was detected in the respiratory samples 10 days after diagnosis or symptom onset ( Table 3 ). 25 Despite the small size of the sample that made it impossible to derive robust conclusions or extend the results to other realities, these findings raise the hypothesis that vaccinated subjects infected with the Omicron variant are unlikely to spread the infectious virus after 10 days of symptom onset.
