Although the combination of mirtazapine with initial AD was still the mainstream regimen, our study showed a trend in prescribing adjunctive antipsychotics, especially quetiapine, indicating that Chinese psychiatrists were adapting their clinical decisions to the up-to-date evidence and guidelines when considering adjunctive agents for poor response.
