The first three rows of these figures show slices of parameter space for small, medium and large ranges of patch area (which corresponds to MP size). In figure 3 , where pressure was varied, we show that for small and medium patch areas there is a clear trend that as tension increases an increased preferred curvature is needed to drive the formation of omega-shaped buds.
