The total phenolic content from leaves extracts was found to be between 5 (stage VI) and 13 mg GAE g −1 (stage II) the maximum; the antioxidant capacity presented a negative trend from stages I to VI (from 146 to 52 μmol TE g −1 respectively), the flavonols showing the same behavior (65% reduction from stages I to VI).
