Rosuvastatin treatment also showed favorable effects on the annualized rate of change of the MeanMax CIMT of the carotid bulb and ICA sites, although the differences compared with placebo did not reach statistical significance (mean difference, −0.0162 mm/y [95% CI, −0.0339 to 0.0015]; P =0.073 and −0.0043 mm/y [95% CI, −0.0183 to 0.0097]; P =0.547, respectively).
