In multivariable competing-risk regression analysis, definite histological diagnosis of CS predicted the occurrence of SCD with a subdistribution hazard ratio of 2.11 (95% CI, 1.06–4.19; P =0.033), whereas Class I or IIa ICD indications, with a subdistribution hazard ratio of 2.10 (95% CI, 0.67–6.62), did not reach statistical significance ( P =0.210).
