There were notable geographical differences among the landraces carrying the early-flowering alleles of FT and PRR3 genes: for FT there was a clear trend for collection from the region between the Yangtze and Yellow rivers, whereas the landraces harboring the early-flowering PRR3 allele tended to be from higher latitude regions north of the Yellow River (including Northwest and Northeast China) (Fig. 4d ).
