The sentences

Both the cycling and the walking‐only groups showed a reduced risk of diabetes compared with the non‐active commuting group (HR 0.46, 95% CI 0.22–0.98 for the cycling group; HR 0.14, 95% CI 0.02–1.02 for the walking‐only group), although the estimate in the walking‐only group did not reach statistical significance, probably due to the small number of diabetes cases in this group.
