Additionally, a greater proportion of the female worms isolated from co‐infected mice were fecund (Figure 5D ) and, in a 4 hours period in ex vivo culture, there was a trend indicating female worms form co‐infected mice shed on average a greater number eggs (Figure 5D ) than worms isolated from mono‐infected mice, although this did not reach statistical significance.
