Consistent with this, there is no difference in the breakdown of C1 and C2 tumours by stage in any of the cohorts and although higher patient numbers are required to permit robust stage-by-stage survival analysis, a clear trend of higher survival rates for C1 patients is observed within each tumour stage (Supplementary Data 7 ).
