Spatial learning and memory were improved in female mice after 2 months on a KD, but no changes in recognition memory or short‐term working memory were observed A significant increase in time spent in the target quadrant (Figure 1m ) and a strong trend toward a decreased latency to find the target hole ( p = 0.06, Figure 1n ) in the Barnes maze probe trial were observed in female KD mice, suggesting improved spatial learning.
