Analysis of males and females separately showed a similar trend in monocyte composition and HLA‐DR expression by classical monocytes during aging in both sexes, although most differences did not reach statistical significance, likely due to low sample numbers (Figure S10F,G ). 3 DISCUSSION Collectively, our data indicate that while aging increases the production of classical monocytes by both GMPs and MDPs in mice, there is a specific increase in the production of MDP‐derived MHCII + classical monocytes (DCMo), which results in increased potential for moDC production.
