In these analyses, the association of sleep duration ≥9 hours at age 50 with incident multimorbidity did not reach statistical significance (HR = 1.39, 0.98 to 1.96; p = 0.067), while sleep duration ≥9 hours at age 60 (HR = 1.54, 1.15 to 2.06; p = 0.003) and 70 (HR = 1.51, 1.10 to 2.08; p = 0.010) was associated with higher risk of multimorbidity.
