These findings suggest that developing interventions that promote the learning and practice of mindful self-care may bolster pregnant women's ability to self-regulate and improve their overall wellbeing ( Webb et al., 2019 ), thereby contributing to their complete mental health during a demanding period such as a pandemic Although a previous history of psychopathology is consistently brought up as an important factor for mental health in the perinatal period (e.g., Milgrom et al., 2008 ), the results of this study showed that it was only marginally significant when included together with the remaining variables of the model.
