Age over 40 years old (adjusted OR 2.65, 95% CI 1.17–6.01, P = 0.02) and major depression during infection (adjusted OR 8.93, 95% CI 2.28–34.9, P = 0.002) were significantly associated with ED at three months; meanwhile, overweight (P = 0.05) and presence of hypertension, diabetes mellitus, or hypercholesterolemia (P = 0.06) were nearly significant.
