Cas enzymes with higher PAM GC content tend to annotate more heritability of human complex traits When classifying the 21 Cas enzymes into four categories by their overall PAM GC content and Cas types, we found a clear trend that the higher the GC content of the Cas enzyme PAM(s) is, the more heritability was captured by the corresponding annotated regions (Fig. 1 ).
