22 analyzed the changes in the spatial and temporal patterns of heavy rainfall in different urbanized regions of China and found that the interannual and interdecadal heavy rainfall amounts, days of rainfall and rainfall intensity in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region show a decreasing trend, while that in the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta regions show an increasing trend.
The results show that the correlation between urban land use and regional surface temperature trends within the 1–16 km buffer zone is highly significant.
