The sentences

Our previous randomised, single-centre study showed that patients with SLE receiving SILD CYC treatment had fewer infection events compared with the HD CYC group; however, the differences did not reach statistical significance. 10 In the Euro-Lupus Nephritis Trial study, episodes of severe infection were more than twice as frequent in the HD CYC group. 11 In the present study, we have shown that the risk of infection was significantly lower in patients with SLE in the SILD IV-CYC group than in the HD IV-CYC group.
