However, rs2069827 was previously identified as nominally significant in a Dutch prospective cohort study of longevity investigating 102 SNPs in 16 genes; in this study, the T allele (which had a protective effect on depressive symptoms in our sample) was associated with increased longevity (Soerensen et al., 2013 ).
