We found that higher density of TANs in post-treatment LAs was significantly (p = 0.011) associated with higher densities of tumor-infiltrating CD4 + PD-1 + T cells and, in a near-significant trend (p = 0.081), with higher densities of CD8 + PD-1 + T cells ( Figures 3I – 3K ) in the whole tumor areas.
