Variables of stimulated C-peptide levels were numerically higher in the LGV compared with the HGV group, but these differences did not reach statistical significance (AUC for C-peptide, 44.6 [1.2–90.6] vs 1.2 [1.2–12.8] nmol min/l [ p =0.21] and peak C-peptide level, 0.47 [0.01–1.0] vs 0.01 [0.01–0.14] nmol/l [ p =0.21]).
