The model showed that patients with MELD ⩾ 10 had higher odds of mortality (OR = 1.85, p = 0.008) and major morbidity (OR = 1.34, p < 0.001); whereas differences in length of hospital did not reach statistical significance (OR = 1.17, p = 0.072).
