When used as the only classifier for predicting 30-day mortality, the discriminatory ability of WMSI (AUC: 0.85; 95% CI: 0.80–0.91) was significantly higher than the GRACE risk score (AUC:0.63; 95% CI: 0.51–0.76; p =0.001) and higher than LVEF (AUC: 0.80; 95% CI: 0.71–0.87) and TIMI (AUC: 0.75; 95% CI:0.65–0.85) but these differences did not reach statistical significance ( Table 2 ).
