There were 4 admissions for this reason during the "COVID" period, and an annual average of 12.4 admissions during the "pre-COVID" period, finding a statistically significant difference (p-value = .029 (<.05)) Finally, in the sinusitis group, there was 1 admission during the “COVID” period, and an annual average of 12.4 admissions during the “pre-COVID” period, no statistically significant difference was found (p-value = .067 (>.05)) which could be due to the inter-annual variability of the period studied, although from a clinical point of view the difference between 1 and 3.6 has a clearly significant value.
