As shown in Table 3 , food insecurity was significantly associated with kidney stones after adjusting for all potential confounders (Model II, OR 1.21; 95% CI 1.05–1.39; P = 0.010); In addition, individuals with food insecurity had a 33% increased risks of stones recurrence after full adjustment although this association did not reach statistical significance (Model II, OR 1.33; 95% CI 1.00–1.77; P = 0.052).
