The small sample size could explain why the effect on both cognitive sub-scores in our cohort was not significant, although a significant effect on delayed verbal memory and a clear trend in the posterior cortical sub-score together with the lack of correlation between cognitive function improvement and mood improvement might suggest a possible effect of vortioxetine related to cholinergic function.
