In the multivariate-adjusted model (model 3), HR estimates were 0.95 (0.82 to 1.10) for 1–2 times/week, 0.84 (0.72–0.97) for 3–6 times/week and 0.82 (0.69–0.98) for ≥7 times/week, respectively, exhibiting a significant trend ( p for trend < 0.01) between frequency of egg intake and the risk of mortality ( Table S1 ).
