In this work, the RNAseq analysis revealed that PFKFB4 is overexpressed in the presence of E6 and E7, and the data obtained by qPCR showed a trend towards increased expression of this gene, although not significant; probably because PFBKB4 expression could be highly sensitive to regulation by other cancer-associated processes such as hypoxia [ 50 ], which warrants further study.
