The basic reason behind this phenomenon is the decrease in permittivity of the sensing layer at higher frequencies, 42 which resulted in the reduction of the dielectric properties of the sensing threads. Thus, a decrement in the capacitance of the sensors was observed. The results obtained showed a trend similar to other reported capacitive humidity sensors, 43 − 46 which verified good sensing performances of our embroidered face mask sensors towards humidity measurements.
