For total vegetable consumption, as compared to low vegetable consumption (1st tertile), although the third tertile did not reach statistical significance (ORs = 0.85, 95% CI = 0.71–1.02), a significantly lower risk of lung cancer was observed among those with median consumption of vegetables, with an OR of 0.77 (95% CI = 0.65–0.91).
