Although the difference in flap donor site morbidity between the groups in our study did not reach statistical significance, with the additional skin incision for harvesting vein graft and longer operation time for extra micro-anastomoses in the vein graft group, a higher incidence of flap donor site morbidity can be expected when the size of a vein graft group matches that of a control group.
