Plasma PLP concentrations were lower with increasing age for both males and females ( P -trend < 0.001); however, this was most pronounced in males ( Figure 2 A ), whereas a significant trend for better riboflavin status (indicated by lower EGRac values) was observed in older compared with younger adults in both males and females ( P -trend < 0.001) ( Figure 2B ).
