Regardless, although a clear trend of increased suicides in the general population has not yet been demonstrated to date, the pandemic is not over and an overlap of risk factors associated with suicide in bipolar disorder and the secondary psychosocial consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic is a serious concern ( Table 1 ).
