The radial growth of all four mutant strains was also monitored on MM agar plates after 21 days of growth ( Figure 4 C) and showed a trend similar to when grown on SDA plates, i.e., reduced growth with a smaller mean diameter (57.6 ± 3.9 mm for all four mutants) as compared to the parent strain (80 ± 1 mm) ( Figure 4 D).
