Although the delayed treated patients showed a higher frequency in thrombus formation and thromboembolic events (9 of 21 patients −43%) as compared to hyper-early (18 of 82 patients −22%) and early (24 of 96 patients −25%) patients' groups, these differences did not reach statistical significance ( Figure 3B ).
