Choroidal explants treated with RORα modulators showed results consistent with Rora sg/sg mice, where choroidal explants treated with SR3335 to inhibit RORα revealed significantly larger (~60%) sprouting areas compared with the vehicle controls, and RORα activation with SR1078 treatment showed a trend of reduced sprouting ability ex vivo ( Figure 4D , 4E ).
