Of note, in this study, only 14% of patients had initial cT1 stage but in this subgroup, the HR was in favor of capecitabine (HR=0.65 [95%CI 0.30-1.44]) and was similar to the one observed in tumor larger than cT1(HR=0.71 [95%CI 0.53-0.96]), even though it did not reach statistical significance, presumably due to limited sample size.
